Tell us about yourself…Cheryl Piotrowski is a stay-at-home mom who spends most of her time crafting. When not making cards, you can find Cheryl teaching classes, organizing, blogging, playing board games, or Bible journaling.
How and when did your business get started? Hand Stamped by Cheryl started in 2011 upon moving to Indianapolis. Cheryl creates handmade greeting cards, custom invitations, paper treats, as well as offers paper crafting classes.
What is your favorite product in your shop? Tell us how you came up with it. I love my advent calendars. They are not my most popular item at spring events, but it is never too early to buy holiday decorations! I love the idea of a keepsake combined with the tradition of counting down the days in December.
Where do you find your inspiration and creativity? Pinterest, most definitely. But I also find inspiration from others who come to events I host at my house such as Craft Night, a time when we bring our individual craft projects and work alongside each other.
What are your favorite things about being a vendor in a handmade market? Getting to meet new people and see what catches their eye about my cards. My goal is to have people wonder how my cards were made or prompt them to feel and touch them.
Give us 5 fun facts about you and/or your business 1. My Myers-Briggs type is ISTJ, so crafting is my perfect way to relax and deal with stress. 2. I love making kids cards, but rarely send them. 3. I am working on a YouTube channel that give ideas for organizing your craft room. 4. My husband is my biggest customer and loves having a card store in the basement! 5. I love teaching people how to make their own greeting cards, especially those who think they are "not crafty".
