Tell us about yourself: I've always enjoyed crafting and creating handmade gifts but it wasn't until I got older that I really took to sewing. I now enjoy sewing all sorts of things from clothes, bags, and baby/toddler items in addition to my baskets!
How and when did your business get started? Knot & Thread started just over a year ago after being inspired by Christmas gifts my son and I made for our extended family. I loved everything about the baskets. They were so beautiful, yet functional, so I knew I wanted to share them with others!
What is your favorite product in your shop? Tell us how you came up with it. I love all of my baskets! Each one is unique and different so I guess I can say that I always have a new favorite!
Where do you find your inspiration and creativity? Sometimes my inspiration comes from simply the need of organization or functionality in a space. Other times, it may be fabric, a picture, or just having a conversation with someone that sparks an idea in my head to create a new piece or a gift idea.
What are your favorite things about being a vendor in a handmade market? I love sharing my product with others and seeing the joy on their face as they talk about where they are going to use my basket or to whom they will gift it to...that makes me so happy!
